Stone face

This head of stone is the landmark of the beautiful city of Passau.
Though its origin couldn't be figured out yet, people assume that this head was part of a statue on top of the Passau cathedral, which was burned down in a town fire in 1662.
The head now can be seen near the Stephandom.

  2. Very old then, and with a very interesting expression. I like the texture of the stone against the ivy leaves.
