Don't wear high heels!

A lot of streets in Passau are made of cobblestone. Long time ago I already mentioned that you should wear flat shoes if you're going to visit this city.
Definiteley no city where to wear sexy shoes. If you wear them anyway you may get hurt.

Ants

Usually I'm afraid of ants (and everything else that is small and can move). But apart from that ants are very useful animals and they can look really pretty like on this red flower!

The city of Passau and I, we got a different taste of art. Passau thinks this is a beautiful artwork and I only see an ugly concrete block spoiling the beauty of the Inn river.

The Inn river always looks a little green even in winter when there is no green besides the water.

This is a bridge over the Inn river, it is called "Fuenferlsteg" and it is for pedistrians and byciclists only.
Tomorrow I'll show you the view from the banks on the bridge.

A splash of color

One great thing about summer is that you can find beautiful colors everywhere... just like those beautiful red flowers I found in the city. A very nice decoration ;-)

Yuck

People can decide for themselves if they want to smoke. But why does it have to be right in front of a buildings entrance so that other people have to walk through a cloud of smoke when entering the building?

Shop

A nice little shop where you can buy souvenirs, post cards or funny stuff like strange Bavarian hats. There are many shops like this one!

Stone face

This head of stone is the landmark of the beautiful city of Passau.
Though its origin couldn't be figured out yet, people assume that this head was part of a statue on top of the Passau cathedral, which was burned down in a town fire in 1662.
The head now can be seen near the Stephandom.

There are a lot of rats living at the Inn banks. These little guys are so fast that it's hard to see them... in most cases you only hear a rustling and you see a shadow flitting to the next stone or bush.
It took me a long time to get a photo of one of the little rats! :)

I really love those old houses and the decorations there...
This angel (?) head can be found above the door of a drugstore.

Theme Day: Reflections
