Religion at your house wall
You often can find sculptures like this one as decoration not only on churches but also on normal houses. This one is on a wall belonging to a normal dwelling house.
In most cases they show Jesus ans Mary or other religious characters.

Not a bad thing in my opinion and certainly made a nice sepia shot.
ReplyDeleteHallo Lady Demeter, danke fuer Deinen Besuch auf meinem Blog :). Statuen und sepia gehen sehr gut zusammen. Viele Gruesse aus Indonesien.
ReplyDeleteI love the wall niches that I saw all over Eurupe, all fined with holy figures. such a beautiful tradition. Someday I will have my own niche figure.
ReplyDeleteVery appropriate for this time of year. I like it in sepia.
ReplyDeleteI like this photo. The sepia gives it a sense of age, which reflects the many years that this religion and its many branches have been around.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting story and lovely picture. I for one would like to see religious statues used more in personal settings.
ReplyDeleteSuperb sepia photo - I like how light it is & such a beautiful sculpture!
ReplyDeleteI've only seen photos of Bavaria, Germany, but they've all shown that country to be very beautiful! You're so lucky to live amongst such beauty!
The sepia is a wonderful enhancement of the sculpture!
ReplyDeleteI like that you kept the tone light.
